This Privacy Policy explains how Good Studio, a Danish company, collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use GoodHour (our website and app, the "Service").

1. Who we are

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed by our auth provider).
  • Organization data: organization name, membership, roles, and settings you configure.
  • Time-tracking data: hours, projects, clients, notes, and related metadata you enter.
  • Billing data: subscription status and payment references processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies used for authentication, locale preference, and security.
  • Usage data (with consent): pages visited and product usage events collected via Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide and secure the Service
  • Authenticate users and manage organizations
  • Process subscriptions and communicate about your account
  • Improve reliability and fix issues
  • Understand usage and improve the product (analytics, where you have consented)
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent where required (e.g. analytics cookies, optional marketing if offered). You may withdraw consent without affecting lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

5. Sharing and processors

We use trusted subprocessors to run the Service, including:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and hosting of application data
  • Vercel (or equivalent host) — application delivery
  • Polar — subscription checkout and billing
  • Google Analytics — website and app usage analytics (only after cookie consent)

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. International transfers

Data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

We keep account and organization data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. You may request deletion subject to legal and contractual limits.

8. Your rights

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security in our database. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
